Visiting Drew

Well, actually Drew kind of visited us.  He came to Provo for a job interview and we met up at Mom and Dad's house in Payson.  We spent the night and then went to the aquarium in Sandy.  We had been wanting to take our kids there for a long time. It was really crowded (think Saturday in January when it is freezing outside).  The aquarium was really cool despite the crowds.  I guess I get so used to being in my small community and I can't stand crowds!  We were so hopeful that Drew would get the job and be able to move to Utah, but unfortunately, after a pretty rigorous interview process he found out that he did not get the job.  Maybe next time!

Art

I have to show off some of the artwork of the very talented Emilia.  She has been sketching a lot lately and has really improved her drawing skills a lot.  This is Rey from the new Star Wars movie.  Isn't this amazing?

Chillin with Will

One advantage of living in a very Shakespeare oriented town is that you get the opportunity to get your picture taken with Willy.  (Hey, that's valuable bench space!)

January

Image result for cruise bahamasBlah. That is what I want to say about January.  Last year at this time I was on a cruise in the Bahamas.  Too bad I can't be there instead of here.  I have to start school tomorrow.  I'd rather be on a cruise.  I have been thinking back to last year at this time and it was right after the cruise that I decided to go back to school.  I began the kind of daunting task of trying to figure out what I needed to do to get this school thing going.  At that point I found out that it would take me 3 1/2 years to do this whole nursing thing.  It was kind of disappointing that it would take so long but I decided to just jump in and do it. And now look, in a year I have taken 7 classes, taken an entrance exam, gotten student loans (yippee), and gotten a $1000 scholarship.  I am just finishing filling out my nursing school application and I will turn it in this week.  I still have 2 1/2 years to go, and I am sure the hardest part is yet to come, but I am pretty excited at all I have accomplished and the fact that a year ago I was just starting out.

Christmas Stuff!

I have a bunch of pictures that I need to post from Christmas.  I plan to post them as soon as Kent buys me a new power supply.  We went out of town to visit Gma and Gpa A over New Year's and when we got back I plugged my computer in.  As soon as I did the power supply fried itself and now I have to blog from my laptop.
