The TYT (Ten Year Trip) is something I started when Emilia was 10. A good friend of mine got married in Denver and I decided to take Emilia with me. With that the precedent was set, and the ten year trip was born. Elise has been talking about her Ten Year Trip (which she shortened to TYT) for about the last 4 months. She was SOO excited! We planned it about a month ahead and reserved my parents' condo in Park City for a weekend in June.

| FINALLY it is time to go! |
We drove to Park City via Orem and stopped at Old Navy to see if we could find something cute to buy to help us remember our trip. When I asked Elise what she wanted she said and I QUOTE: "A mannequin". After that we walked around the store talking about how much Elise wanted a mannequin. We almost bought a water bottle instead (more portable, more affordable...) but we decided to go to the mall and see if we wanted to get something there.

We ate dinner at Golden Corral (Elise's request) and then headed over to the mall with our overstuffed bellies to see if they had anything awesome. If you are into florescent 80's tank tops then it was your lucky day at the mall. Me? I can't BELIEVE that they are selling this stuff again! I think this is worse than the first time around! Elise wasn't interested either.

So we went to Claire's and tried on mustache glasses. Another trend that confuses me. We ended up buying some earrings and a necklace that had a bunch of pearls and old fashioned looking keys on it for Elise. And I bought a couple of sun hats which I had been hoping to score on the trip. We ended up getting matching hats since they were 5 bucks and we were planning on being out in the sun all day the next day.

We ended our shopping adventures and hopped back in the car for the rest of the drive to Park City. Thanks to the GPS we found the condo with no problems. We did, however, encounter a few problems checking into the condo. My parents have their condo managed by a property company and to check in you have to put a number into the safe and then take out a packet with info. After a few phone calls we were able to get into the safe but we still didn't have a room code to get into the room. So after a few more phone calls and some tiresome waiting we were finally able to get into the condo! Hooray!
